Sharetru partner program By invitation
Built for the IT partners who stay after the sale.
Deliver secure file sharing and managed file transfer to the regulated companies you support. Resell Sharetru as part of the IT services you manage, or refer the clients who need it. Both start with a conversation.
For MSPs, systems integrators and hands-on IT contractors. Consultants and advisers can refer.

- Sharetru Federal: FedRAMP Moderate Certified (GovPoint package)
- SOC 2 Type II Attested
- FIPS 140-3 validated encryption on Federal
- Unlimited guests on every plan
Who it’s for
Who is the partner program for?
Resale is for firms that run and support their clients’ technology every day; referral is for firms that influence the purchase without running it. If your clients would notice the week you stopped showing up, resale was built for you.
-
Resale: you run the environment
- MSPs and MSSPs that run the help desk and administration for defense contractors, manufacturers, healthcare and financial firms
- Outsourced IT departments, fractional IT teams and IT contractors, including embedded technicians who are their clients’ IT
- Systems integrators that keep an ongoing support contract after go-live, Microsoft partners among them
-
Referral: you shape the decision
- Compliance consultants and Registered Practitioner Organizations (RPOs) guiding clients through CMMC and other frameworks
- Project integrators, VARs and security firms that don’t run their clients’ day-to-day support
- Sharetru customers recommending us to peers and suppliers
Firms that sell the license and don’t stay to support it aren’t eligible for resale. Referral is open to them.
Two paths
Should you refer clients, or resell Sharetru?
The difference is who runs the service: refer when you influence the purchase; resell when Sharetru becomes part of the service you deliver and support. One call with the partner team covers both.

Why resell
Why make Sharetru part of the service you manage?
Because you earn on the subscription, bill for the work around it, and keep the client relationship, with Sharetru behind you on the platform. Secure file transfer becomes part of the service your clients already pay you to run.
-
01
Revenue that renews
A Revenue Share on every subscription you sell and collect, renewals included, rising with your Level.
-
02
Your services, your fees
Bill separately for migration, implementation, configuration, user administration, integrations, training and ongoing support. Sharetru takes no part of those fees.
-
03
The client stays with you
You administer the service inside your client’s IT and own the frontline relationship. Platform-level problems go to Sharetru at Tier 2.
Tier 1 is real work, so we size it with you. On the call we cover the tickets partners typically handle, the time it takes to stand up a client site, and how the Revenue Share works for a firm like yours.
Running it
What does your team run, and what does Sharetru run?
Your technicians run each client’s site with the MSP Administrator role, which can’t see controlled unclassified information (CUI) or folder names; Sharetru runs the platform. Each client has its own site, your team signs in to each one, and Sharetru backs you at Tier 2.
-
Your team, at Tier 1
- Users, groups and guests: adding, removing, permissions, and turning a guest into a user
- Sign-in: MFA resets, Entra ID single sign-on for client staff, IP and protocol restrictions
- Sharing rules: link expiry, and the domains links may be sent to
- SFTP and API connections for the client’s systems, and audit logs to their SIEM: Microsoft Sentinel directly, others by syslog
- Setup: users, workspaces, notifications and sign-in methods, with client sites live in days
- How-to questions from the client’s people
-
Sharetru, at Tier 2
- Platform availability and outages
- Product defects
- Platform security, and the yearly third-party assessment of Sharetru Federal
- Anything your team can’t close at Tier 1
Before your first client goes live, we walk your team through the escalation path and response commitments.
How resale works
How does reselling Sharetru work?
You sell Sharetru on your own paper at its published price, invoice and collect, and keep a Revenue Share. Here is a deal from registration to renewal, and what protects you along the way.
- 1
Register the company
Submit the company and the deal you’re working on the partner registration form.
- 2
Get the go-ahead
Sharetru answers within 2 business days. The first approved registration holds the company. You sign the customer once we’ve consented, never before.
- 3
Sign on your paper
Sharetru is a line item at the published price, and your customer accepts Sharetru’s Terms of Service at signing.
- 4
Invoice, collect, keep your share
You bill the customer, remit to Sharetru and keep your Revenue Share, on every renewal you collect too.
-
Your Level - Authorized
- Silver
- Gold
- Platinum
Your Revenue Share rises with each Level. New resellers start at Authorized for their first year. After that, your Level is reset each quarter from the subscriptions you sourced and collected over the last four quarters, so it can move up or down, and each Level has minimum performance requirements.
-
What protects a reseller
Accounts
One reseller per company. Sharetru won’t bring a second reseller onto a company you’ve registered.
Customers
The subscriptions you sell stay yours. While you’re in good standing, we won’t move your customer to direct, and renewals and expansions come back to you.
Direct sales
Our direct team stands down. If you registered the company first, Sharetru’s direct team works with you on it.
Support
Sharetru at Tier 2. You run day-to-day support; outages, defects and platform-level issues come to us.
Price
One published list price. List price changes come with 60 days’ notice.

What you get
What do partners get?
Resellers get a demo site, sales training, Sharetru on early client calls and a named partner program manager. Referral partners don’t need any of it: introduce the client, Sharetru handles the demo, the sale, onboarding and support, and you’re paid once when they sign.
-
Your own demo site
Show clients the real product on a site of your own: a drawing sent to a supplier, the supplier’s sign-in, the log it leaves.
-
Sales training
Learn where Sharetru fits a regulated client, which platform they need, and how to set up their site.
-
Co-selling
We join your early client calls to answer the security and compliance questions with you.
-
A program manager
One named contact for registrations, escalations and deal strategy, with a business review twice a year.
What your clients get
What are you bringing your clients?
Managed file transfer for regulated files: the web app and links for people, SFTP, FTPS and the HTTPS File Transfer API for systems. Guests are unlimited on every plan, and Sharetru Federal is FedRAMP Moderate Certified.
-
The certification
FedRAMP Moderate Certified
Sharetru Federal is the certified SaaS layer inside MIS Sciences Corporation’s GovPoint Cloud Services authorization, FedRAMP package F1311222650, audited every year by a third-party assessment organization (3PAO). The listing is public.
-
For CMMC clients
A responsibility matrix
All 110 requirements and 320 objectives of NIST SP 800-171 Rev 2, each marked Sharetru, Shared or Yours. It comes with a trial, under the NDA in the Terms of Service.
-
For healthcare and financial clients
Sharetru Commercial
For clients with no CUI: every view, upload, download and permission change logged, with six-year log retention available for HIPAA.
FAQ
Questions firms ask before the first call
-
Who can become a partner?
Any firm can book a call; resale is for firms that run their clients’ technology, and referral is for firms that influence the purchase. That includes consultants, VARs and Sharetru customers. A firm takes one path, not both. If we agree it’s a fit, we send you the application.
-
When do I see the economics?
On the call: we walk you through how the Revenue Share works for a firm like yours and what Tier 1 typically takes. The same goes for the referral fee. The rate table and full terms come with acceptance.
-
I already refer clients to Sharetru. What changes?
Referrals you’ve already made still pay at the rate you signed up under. If you need your referral link again, email sales@sharetru.com and we’ll resend it.
-
What does deal registration protect?
A company you register, once approved, is yours as reseller of record: Sharetru won’t bring a second reseller onto it. Register real opportunities only. A registration with no active deal behind it expires, and the company returns to open.
-
Can Sharetru sell directly to a company I’ve registered?
Yes, if our team was already working the company when you registered it, if it’s another division or affiliate, or if your registration lapses. If you registered first, our direct team stands down and works with you. Where we were there first, we tell you and talk about co-selling.
-
Can I set my own price or discount?
No: every reseller sells Sharetru at its published list price, with the same standard discounts. Subscriptions already under contract keep their price when the list price changes.
-
What happens to my customers if I leave the program?
Their service carries on: each customer has accepted Sharetru’s Terms of Service, so Sharetru or another partner can take over billing without interrupting it. You’re still paid what you earned before the handover.
-
Do my clients need Sharetru Federal, or will Commercial do?
It depends on the client’s contracts: clients handling covered defense information under DFARS 252.204-7012 typically choose Sharetru Federal, the plan certified at FedRAMP Moderate. That clause calls for a cloud service that meets the FedRAMP Moderate baseline or its equivalent. Clients with no CUI can use Sharetru Commercial.
-
What happens when I book a call?
You pick a time and answer five quick questions about your firm, so the call starts with your practice, not the basics. We bring the economics; you bring the clients and the case for working together. If we both agree, we send the application for your path.
-
I’m buying Sharetru for my own company. Where do I start?
Start a 15-day free trial or request a demo; this page is for firms that sell or recommend Sharetru. Need help setting up or moving off another system? Say so when you request the demo, and we’ll introduce a partner who does that work.
How to join
Start with a conversation
Every partnership starts with a call. Here’s how it goes.
- 1
Book a call. Pick a time and answer five quick questions about your firm and the partnership you have in mind.
- 2
Talk it through. We bring the economics for a firm like yours; you bring your clients, your practice and the case for working together. Both sides decide.
- 3
Apply, if we both agree. We send you the application for your path. Once you’re accepted, referral partners get the terms and the referral form; resellers sign the reseller agreement and start onboarding.
