This policy applies to FTP Today, Inc., doing business as Sharetru ("Sharetru", "we", "us"), to anyone acting on our behalf, and to every customer and user of the Sharetru platform. "Unsolicited message" means any commercial email, text message or other electronic message sent to someone who has not agreed to receive it and does not have an existing business relationship with the sender.
01 · Our email
Email we send
Sharetru sends very little marketing email: a newsletter at most once a month, and a small number of messages to people who have engaged with us directly, for example by requesting a demo, starting a trial, registering for an event or contacting our team. We also send service emails needed to run customer accounts, such as security alerts and file-share notifications.
In all of our marketing email, we:
- send only to people who gave us their contact information and agreed to hear from us, or who have an existing business relationship with us;
- never buy, rent, trade, scrape or harvest email addresses;
- identify Sharetru clearly as the sender and use accurate subject lines;
- include our physical mailing address;
- include a working Unsubscribe link and a Manage preferences link in every message;
- honor unsubscribe requests automatically and promptly, and stop mailing addresses that bounce or complain;
- send through our own authenticated domain, using SPF, DKIM and DMARC; and
- comply with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act and other applicable anti-spam laws.
02 · Third parties
Partners, resellers and other third parties
No affiliate, partner, reseller, agency, contractor or other third party may promote Sharetru, sharetru.com or any Sharetru service using unsolicited email, text messages, social media messages or any other unsolicited messages. This applies whether or not the third party is paid by Sharetru.
If we find that a third party has done this, we will require them to stop immediately, and we may end our relationship with them.
03 · Customers
Customers and platform users
Customers and users may not use the Sharetru platform, including share links, workspaces, guest invitations and notifications, to:
- send, support or facilitate unsolicited bulk messages;
- host or distribute content advertised in spam;
- carry out phishing, impersonation or credential harvesting; or
- distribute malware or any other harmful content.
We may suspend or terminate any account that violates this policy, without notice, and disable any share links involved. This policy supplements our Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service.
04 · Unsubscribe
How to stop receiving our emails
Click Unsubscribe at the bottom of any Sharetru marketing email, or use Manage preferences to choose which emails you receive. You can also email abuse@sharetru.com and ask us to remove you. Service emails about an active Sharetru account continue while the account is open.
05 · Reporting
Reporting spam or abuse
If you receive an unsolicited message from Sharetru, one that promotes Sharetru, or one that contains a sharetru.com link, please report it to abuse@sharetru.com. If you can, include the full message headers; they help us find the source quickly. We investigate every report and take action under this policy.
If you received a message that claims to be from Sharetru and asks for a password or other confidential information, do not reply or click any links. Sharetru will never ask for this by email. Please report it to the same address.
06 · Updates
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with its effective date at the top.
